Dreams Of Mary

I would sleep eternally

Just to dream of you forever more

Oh, can’t you come to me

And knock on this dreamers door

 

Awake on my bed again

Awaiting a bittersweet sleep

To spend another night with you

To explore this ocean deep

 

I’m back in the dream world, I’m happy today

We meet again, as you whisk me away

And then like a bird, the time flies by

Morning arrives, as we fly through sky

 

Soaring through the clouds, we dance and flutter

Words of love, we begin to mutter

Til the sun shines its blinding light

Bringing an end to this lonely birds flight

 

I cry out loud as you fade away

Begging desperately for the night to stay

My eyes open, I close them once more

For now I lay weak, with a heart so sore

 

Again, left awake with nothing but the thought

That it was you and only you I have ever sought

For nothing felt so true as the romance had

Yet another day passes without you, how can I not feel sad?

 

But tomorrow yields dreams of every kind

So I shall continue to search and hope to find

A dreamer in which to make these dreams come true

A dream everlasting, a dream to wake up to
